Rent a Bus To Visit Pasadena Neighborhoods
Is your tour group wanting to get a look beyond the mainstays of Colorado Boulevard and Old Town Pasadena? Explore the city’s quieter districts and popular residential neighborhoods with an expert like Sharon Traeger! She’s the owner of Traeger Tours, a private tour operator that has serviced visitors to the LA area since 2007, and knows what to expect when you’re in town with a large group and how to see some of Pasadena’s best-kept secrets while exploring by bus.

Playhouse Village
The first area your group should consider checking out? Sharon’s favorite district: Playhouse Village. Named after its iconic Pasadena Playhouse building, this area is home to dozens of dining and entertainment destinations, as well as many historic buildings and popular outdoor areas. “This neighborhood is great for getting a mix of different experiences,” Sharon says. If you’re not quite sure what to explore, here are a few of the popular places to stop by:

Old Pasadena
With over 20 blocks of stores to peruse and restaurants for a pick-me-up after window-shopping, Old Pasadena (or “Old Town,” to the locals) has been a center of the town since the mid-19th century. From national brand retailers like Nike and Vans to smaller boutiques, to bars and taverns on Fair Oaks Avenue that bustle into the early hours of the morning—no matter what your group is looking for, this historic district is sure to have a venue that fits your tastes. When you call and book your charter bus with us, we’ll help you plan the perfect day of shopping, strolling through historic Colorado Boulevard, enjoying a meal at a trendy cafe and an after-dinner drink.

South Lake
If you’re in town to hit the road in your running shoes, then you should be very familiar with this neighborhood! South Lake is the starting point for many popular races like the Pasadena Half Marathon and the LA Marathon. So, if you’re coordinating a race support crew, this is the perfect neighborhood for your team to meet up and have a post-race picnic to celebrate everyone’s accomplishments! When you book a charter bus rental for your running club or event-goers, there’s no better option for having a reliable ride and driver on call for wherever you go.

Hastings Ranch
Foodies, your neighborhood is calling! Hastings Ranch is a relatively quiet and small neighborhood located in north-central Pasadena and is where you should go to try some of Sharon’s favorites.
“If you’re in town with a foodie, I’d recommend stopping by the Agricole Hospitality restaurant group,” she says. “Their original restaurant, Earls, was my first experience in the area with a Canadian gastropub-style restaurant. And it’s where I first experienced authentic poutine!”
The restaurant group is based in Edmonton, Canada, and was founded in the early 2000s by father-son duo Leroy Earl Fuller and Stanley Earl Fuller. The Earls Kitchen + Bar location on South Lake is its first California restaurant.
“Another spot by Agricole you should add to your list is the Zinc Cafe & Market,” Sharon says. “They have great food options and local artisan goods like jams and oils.”
